Life has been. pretty steady and peaceful so this is just an appreciation post.

Restaurant Rating: 🌮 out of 5. The city was RAVING about Torchy’s Tacos when they arrived in Phoenix. I understand why, gentrified tacos and an open bar, cool. I got the Jamaican jerk taco and the shrimp taco and both tasted delightful. Two sangrias in and I was flirting recklessly. Never would I have thought that I’d be fighting for my life in the bathroom hours later. I’m so sad this happened because Torchy’s had potential!! If I try it again it’s because I need to drop 1.65 pounds for something.

Date Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 out of 5. Kinda. I have family members and some friends asking me why I am not dating and all I can tell them is that, it’s not as fun anymore lol I don’t wanna slap on Spanx and drive across town to get dinner 3x a week just be be underwhelmed.

I feel incredibly blessed because I decided one day that pleasure and love should be my personal philosophy in life and I haven’t deviated from it since. I make an effort to strengthen my relationships frequently. I have fun every day. That’s why I’m still spending so much time with Lu. How lucky am I that I have a friend that makes me laugh every day and willingly let’s me rope him into trying new restaurants (even when they tear up my stomach). My favorite thing about life is that I still have all this time to meet some of my favorite people and create precious memories. It’s crazy! This time last year, I barely knew him and now, I can’t imagine a future where I’m not bugging him to start watching a new show. I’m elated that I allowed the care I felt for Lu to evolve into something without any expectations. Imagine if I had abandoned the relationship because we couldn’t date, I would have missed out! Letting myself be surrounded by love (and it all looks different) has just made life even sweeter. I wish this kind of safety and joy for everyone.
