Justin

The Whining Pig is one of my favorite bars!

I just love the Whining Pig because I can act like I have this distinguished palate even though everything I get is either fruity or a red ale.

Date Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 out of 5. They be saying “good things come to those who wait” and I guess they were right in this case. I couldn’t even wait a full 30 days before I said yes to Justin, PATHETIC. But he was gassing me up about my degree and he could hold a conversation. He asked me out so smoothly, I had to say yes.

He just got out of a long term relationship which is often a red flag. I’m a big believer that relationships don’t resolve personal issues. Are you happy with yourself before you can share your life with someone? How are your communication skills? What do you want out of someone else anyway? He answered all these questions fabulously and he seemed so genuine about why he and his girlfriend broke up.

He told me he had been going on dates for practice and I was the sixth one that week. I had to set my beer down and laugh! I liked how honest that was and that it was such a coincidence (6 is my favorite number). I think it was a great ice breaker because then we talked about everything from what we wanted out of work, our failed relationships, Wild nights we’ve had, and my love for music festivals. I adored how natural our conversation flowed. He has this dry, sarcastic sense of humor and a perfect smile. I liked his laugh and how his face lit up when he talked about his freelance projects.

He started making me a playlist of indie rock and I started making him one of R&B and I’m so excited to put him on. I’m gonna grill him on Whitney Houston, Summer Walker, and Jazmine Sullivan with glee.

Before I knew, three and a half hours had passed and we had to go. He promised to pick the next place and then hugged me goodbye. He’s just opposite enough from me that I feel it’s a great fit. As I pull away from the bar he texted me “Pls play Bad Bad Bad by Young Thug. I’ll dedicate that song to you from now on” LMFAO not exactly the most romantic but I’ll take it. It was exactly the kind of date I needed ending this hiatus!
